Apart from a year of traveling I have been working at Active4less since 2004 when it was then called R3 Leisure.
I have seen the club go through some ups and downs over the years but it is now the most successful, organised and equipped to date.
The club is a great place to work and I am proud to be part of the Active4Less team.

What inspires you?

I love going to work and helping people to achieve more from training and life.
I canít resist a challenge and I try to juggle as many different things as possible.

What do you do at active4less?

I have worked in a number of roles at the club over the years but I am now a Personal Trainer providing 1:1 sessions, group training and boot camp courses.

What makes you smile?

Receiving a medal!
Seeing clients progress.

What is your favourite holiday place?

I donít think Iíve ever been back to the same place twice for a holiday. Iíd prefer to opt for somewhere different each time but if I had to go somewhere Iíd already been, I would go for Ko Samui in Thailand.

What is your favourite food?

Eggs and Chicken!

What is your idea of a perfect day?

Wake up at 4am. Enter the open water at 6am for a 2.4 mile swim, pick up the bike from transition and cycle for 112 miles. Return back in the afternoon and swap bike shoes for trainers and run 26.2 miles. Some hours later Iíll cross the finish line and get to call myself an Ironman.

What are your favourite types of exercise?

Although I take part in a range of triathlon and adventures races I much prefer a hard CrossFit style session where all components of fitness are worked together. I would rather go all out for an hour than spend all day cycling but unfortunately I donít get medals for 1hr training sessions.

What are your pet hates?

The people who collect the recycling always throw the boxes on the floor so they block my car in or out. Why canít they just put them back nicely against the hedge!?

How do you motivate yourself?

I like to think motivation comes naturally given what I do for a job but in real moments of desperation I'll remind myself that procrastination isnít a characteristic of successful people.
